Scholarship Criteria
Academic scholarships and organization grants for LGBT persons, organizations, and allies provide educational opportunities and help develop communities that last a lifetime.
Scholarships range from $1,000 to $4,000, with up to $30,000 awarded annually. Scholarship applications for 2019 should be submitted no later than Friday, September 20, 2019

Scholarship Criteria
Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.
You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:
When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?

GPA of B or better (3.0)
Participate in at least one of the 47 sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games or the National Federation of State High School Association and sponsored by your school.

"Imagine that your high school or college has been overrun with zombies. Your math professor, the cafeteria ladies, and even your best friend have all joined the walking dead. Flesh out a plan to avoid the zombies, including where you’d hide and the top-five things you’d bring to stay alive." (250 words or less)

Scholarship Criteria

Must have achieved a high school CGPA of 3.50 or higher.

Must have scored 23 or higher on the ACT (Composite Score) or 1,200 on the SAT.

Must enroll at an eligible four-year college the first semester following high school graduation.

Must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of college; from August 2018 to August 2019.

Must complete the FAFSA in 2018 using 2017 tax return information; the EFC must not exceed $6,500.

demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship;

demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent);

be citizens of the United States of America;

be current high school seniors attending high school in the United States (students living on U.S. Armed Forces base and homeschooled students are also eligible); and
-
plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

Scholarship Criteria
any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2016, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2016, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2019. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.
